It’s funny to me that everyone gives you food when you’re sick. It’s like you suddenly have the world’s permission to get fat.
The side effects of my lymph node dissection are the same as the lymphedema symptoms. So you can imagine how much fun I’m having.
I had never had major surgery before the mastectomy, and now I have had two. It seems that, for me at least, the first day is hard, the second day is slightly better, and then the third and fourth days are like OMFG I’m dying!!!!!!!
This surgery is somehow worst than the bilateral mastectomy. Go figure.
I cannot stand up for more than 30 seconds without feeling dizzy. I don’t know what’s up with that, but it’s unpleasant.
Jackson found his box of Christmas gifts this morning. I did a crappy job of hiding them, because I can’t lift anything above shoulder level. Luckily, I was able to distract him with the train table.
The office Christmas party is Thursday night at Salt. I’m looking forward to it. Everyone wants to dress up, so hopefully this stupid drain will be out by then. Otherwise, my clothing options are quite limited.
Speaking of drains, having only one is so easy after dealing with four. I forget it’s even there sometimes.
I’m bored (which explains all the posts) and I can’t wait to go back to work. Ugh. I wish I was going to court tomorrow morning.
I need to get serious about finding wigs and head coverings. By this time next month, my hair will likely be about to fall out. It’s hard though. It makes me feel sick.
