There is something very freeing about knowing you are completely on your own; in being alone. When I was married, I always felt lonely, even though I was hardly ever actually by myself.

I’m alone. I can only count on myself. It’s always been this way, but now my surroundings match my reality. I prefer it this way. There is nothing to be bitter about.
