Gracie (my mini dachshund) had surgery yesterday.  She had 20 of her teeth removed, and also had an infected cyst removed from her back.  She is, as expected, a bit of a mess right now.  I feel so bad for her, but I know she is going to feel so much better now that this is finally done.  Her teeth have been hurting so much that she hasn’t been able to eat properly in over a month. She’s already doing a lot better with that.  She has pain meds and antibiotics.  It’s hard to believe that she’s almost 11 years old.  She stayed overnight at the clinic on Thursday night, and it felt so strange not to have her here.  I was completely alone for once, and I didn’t like it as much as I thought I would.  I missed her.  I’m glad she is home now, and I hope she starts feeling better soon.
