some saturday stuff

I bought a ten dollar basketball on a whim (at Walgreens of all places) earlier in the week and it was the best ten dollars I have ever spent. The kids love it and have been eagerly playing together outside. I love that they are getting out in the fresh air and away from screens.

I slept from 11 pm to 11 am, and I’m still tired.

I woke up with a headache.

I have had this powder dipped mani for two weeks now and it is showing very little wear. I plan on getting them redone Friday.

There is this shopping center in Chesterfield where I spent a lot of time. In that center is (1) the lash extension studio, (2) the nail salon, (3) an adorable wine bar with a great atmosphere, and (4) Barnes & Noble. What else do you really need in life?

I had an amazing week health wise. I had a lot of energy and my joints weren’t flaring even a little. That has come to an end. I woke up today swollen and in pain. Also…epic tension headache.

We got a mailer from the St. Louis Symphony and there are several shows I want to see, particularly the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto. That’s my fave.

I wish I hadn’t given up the violin. Sigh.

Speaking of shows, we finished season 2 of Fargo last night and I was very disappointed by the last episode. Still excited for season 3 though.

Also excited for: GoT, House of Cards, and Better Call Saul. I still haven’t started the last season of Girls. I need to set up a new HBO Go account. There is just so much I want to do and so little time that tv viewing typically gets pushed to the back of the line. I’d much rather spend my limited free time reading.

Speaking of reading, I am currently enjoying: Marlena and Notorious RBG. (RBG, HRC, and Michelle Obama are my heroes/role models).

I have an outing tonight with colleagues who have become amazing friends to discuss stuff related to a committee on which we are all members. However, I bet we only talk about work stuff for like 20 minutes before we start gossiping. Haha.

I miss wine. I have like 5 more days. Boo.
