and remembering these as some of the best days of my life. Sometimes, I have to remind myself that I do, in fact, deserve to be this happy. When things are good, it’s easy to forget when they were bad. But this was the life I dreamed of as a little girl in that busted ass house, with that broken down family; feeling sad, beaten, and ashamed. This is what I worked so hard to achieve. This is a reminder to myself to savor every single moment.
