I was doing you a favor…

And you just had to shit all over it. This most often happens to me in the form of people (most often an acquaintance) asking for free legal advice. Person asks my opinion on legal matter. I give my opinion based on the facts provided and the law surrounding said facts. Person dislikes my opinion because it doesn’t conform to whatever nonsense they’ve told themselves is meant to and/or should be. They start whining, complaining, ranting, rationalizing etc, and I then quickly lose interest in them and their issue because I don’t have time for that shit. Don’t ask the question if you don’t want the answer. Seriously…don’t be this person. This person sucks. This person is the reason why I try to change the subject when someone asks, “So what do you do for a living?”

  1. Oh the times somebody has asked me why their iPhone doesn’t work, or why “this website does that”, or “that website doesn’t do this”…

    • Hahahaha. Yes, I imagine anyone in tech has had similar experiences. That must be extremely frustrating. I try to never do that for the record!! 😊

  2. “What do you do?”
“I work in an office. Lots of paperwork nobody understands, but we keep filing it!”

Technically true, yet boring as hell. Bye-bye rude question people. (Seriously, people need to stop asking that question. It’s exactly the same as asking “how much money do you make?” yet we allow it, in this country, as a conversation opener between strangers.)
