This is a stunning book. I was captivated from chapter one. Beautiful writing combined with a compelling and unique story. I don’t want to say much more because I don’t want to spoil a single part of the lovely experience of reading it.

It was extra fun for me because the story takes place close to home: mostly in Southern Illinois, but sometimes in Saint Louis. I recognized so many things. The main character is a grad student at the University of Illinois – where my husband went to school. ❤️
