We had our concert yesterday, and it was the hottest day of the year, because of course it was. It took everything I had to make it through. I was sick by the time I finally got home, and am still feeling sick now. The heat sapped all of my energy. Still – it was a good show. I enjoyed Poison and Def Leppard more than I expected. Joan Jett wasn’t bad. We left before Motley Crue came out, and I have no regrets. Lol.
Family updates: D is back to work. Freya is in Iowa for journalism camp. Jackson is on day 2 of a week long cooking camp. I’ll be picking him up in a few hours.
Tomorrow is chemo #3, and my last Thursday chemo. After this, I’m getting a two week break and switching to Mondays. Hopefully this should have me feeling really good by my birthday.
Yesterday morning, we finally signed the estate docs after much procrastination. It feels good to know that’s been taken care of. Now I just have some homework to do on my end: transferring assets into the trust. The attorney, who is a recent breast cancer survivor, asked if I’d like to be part of a breast cancer podcast she’s been thinking about doing. Of course I said yes. There is so much misinformation out there regarding metastatic breast cancer. I’d love to be able to help women who are looking for answers.
As for now, I’m lying in bed waiting on a burrito to be delivered. I didn’t get a proper meal yesterday, so I’m hoping food will help me feel better. I pick Jackson up in about four hours. I’m looking forward to spending time with him tonight.
That’s all for now.
