We planned my funeral this morning. It was hard to keep it together, but it’s done. We picked the urn, flowers, and a bunch of miscellaneous stuff. We decided to hire their celebrant to handle the celebration of life, since D is going to be too upset to handle talking much. I have some ideas for how I want the service to go. I want Lie In Our Graves (DMB) to play, and I want the passage (from our wedding ceremony) read from The Amber Spyglass.
Now I’m back in bed, having popped a Xanax, and cuddling cats. Might read. Might sleep. Def want to escape reality for a bit. I’m still feeling really unwell from chemo side effects.
It’s hard to know what to comment without sounding vapid. Or giving you a cliche you’ve already heard. And I wouldn’t want to write something stupid that might make you feel worse by accident. So… Are you a big DMB fan? I saw them live in my early 20s. They were so good! Some guy asked me to go and I said yes. It wasn’t until YEARS later that my dumb self realized he was trying to date me 😬👩🍼

Yes, I adore DMB. I’ve been a fan since the mid-90s. I’ve lost track of how many shows I’ve been to at this point. Their music just speaks to me.
