obsessed with this right now

We played D&D with friends via Skype. It was a lot of fun.
I dressed up, obvi.
Sounds like we have at least another month of this to go, which means we will be doing this again soon.
I’m also planning an online drinking game for next Saturday night.
The prompt for today is confetti. I could have whipped up some funfetti cupcakes, since I have a box of cakemix in the pantry, but why torture myself?
So instead you get a pic from tonight’s D&D campaign: Dragon Heist.
I have to admit, tonight was a bit tough for me. The teen is all about being contrary, because she thinks it’s cute and funny, but really it’s just annoying as fuck. The tween means well, and loves to play, but he doesn’t pay attention/gets all spazzy, which is frustrating. It doesn’t help that I was hungover, and going through carb withdrawals, meaning I had very little patience for their nonsense.
Maybe next time will be better. D put a lot of energy into this adventure, and I think we sort of ruined it for him.
I think we should get a new adult group going. J & M told us they’d love to play. I know C & J are down. And RZ. The truth is: I just don’t like playing D&D with kids. 🤷🏻♀️
She’s a barbarian outlander, and she will kick your ass.
Yesterday’s advent calendar activity was designing characters for our new family campaign.
The entire evening was silly, joyful, and fun.
The gang got back together last night for another epic adventure.
I’m the wyrmlimg, having transformed from my usual fairy form in order to battle some water demons who were susceptible to fire damage. (We didn’t have a red dragon wyrmlimg available so just use your imagination).
Other pics from last night’s battle:
Here are O’Reilly (Ann) and Twilight (me). I’m still in crazy battle pixie form here. She’s a half-orc barbarian. I told her I should tag this pic #bestielife, and so I did over on Insta. Haha. 💜
And here are me and Farbis having just delivered the final death blows (yay Call Lightning!!) to the final boss (which ended up being a fire demon. Tricky, tricky, DM!).
And just because it’s cool as fuck:
It was a fun night. We didn’t get home until 1:30 though, so I’m going back to sleep since it’s not even 7 am yet, and we have a big, labor intensive house project today. More on that later!!
I’m a level 7 sorceress in our family D&D game.
Our dining room table has turned into a D&D table almost full time. ❤️
We mostly eat at the island or in the breakfast room anyway, so it’s not a big deal. I actually love walking through and seeing the remnants of a game.
There’s no point clearing it now, because we’re playing again this weekend.
Reunited and it feels so good.
This was an epic adventure!
is very sweet.
