Our professional pics are finally ready! There are so many that I love!
I was just thinking to myself: ugh when will I get to see my wedding photos!!!
And then I saw this on Instagram:
That’s my bouquet!!!
Go, Jonathan, go!
One of my vows to D was that I would keep his whiskey cabinet well stocked, so this helps. Haha.
Chris and Jess bought us four bottles of wine. Each bottle has a label marking it for our first, fifth, tenth, and fifteenth anniversaries. So fucking cute!
Our most interesting gift? A giant boxed filled with candy and underneath the candy was a nearly pornographic rendering of Beauty & the Beast. Considering the source, it’s fucking perfect really.
I love our friends. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.
I’ve posted many pics about the wedding, but not many words.
First of all, it was the best day ever. I want to remember every detail forever, and I know I won’t, so I’m going to post as things come to me in an effort to get the important things recorded.
My favorite moment was during the recessional when D turned to me and said, “This is the happiest day of my entire life.”
When I first stepped up on the platform where the ceremony was to be performed, my legs and hands were shaking so badly that I thought I was going to fall over. Everything felt so very intense.
Dave’s vows were perfect. Just perfect.
Ann did an amazing job officiating.
The kids had everyone crying with their speech.
Ann B’s reading was perfect!
Paul, Laura, and Andy fucking nailed Love Song.
Everyone kept saying it was the best wedding ceremony they’d ever seen, and that it was so us. That felt great. We very much wanted it to be a reflection of who we are as a couple, and it seems that we hit a home run on that front.
The toast and the first dance and the food and the drinks and our lovely friends and, and, and…
Oh! I met my brother-in-law finally. His wife and kids are lovely. The boys hit it off right away and they were so cute together all night. I thought it would be weird, especially with his wife, but it really wasn’t at all. At the end of the night, she asked that we work together to make sure the two families can spend more time together, and that made me very happy.
Jackson and his dance moves. Everyone was talking about it. This kid.
And Freya was all about the dancing too. She kept requesting songs from the DJ and rounding us up to dance together as a family. I loved that she kept requesting DMB and Grouplove songs. She has good taste. I’m going to take partial credit.
Okay that’s all for now. We have many presents to open.
